Bastien Flashcards $2.99

The Bastien Music Flashcards App from the Neil A. Kjos Music Co. combines three Flashcard learning tools from Jane Smisor Bastien: Bastien Music Flashcards, Bastien Interval Flashcards, and Notes and Key Signatures Flashcards,  into one music-learning app.

Heads Up

A Quizlet-powered app that allows you to create your own flash cards and share with others. You can email your flashcard decks or share them using Dropbox. It allows you to search for, study, and make local edits to Quizlet.com flashcards. I have found this very useful when looking for specific subjects such as Italian tempo markings…

Musicnotes Deck

Learn the basics of music theory with this music notation flash card app. The included deck features 50 basic musical notation symbols, along with definitions and audio pronunciations. Includes two modes: Flash card mode, where the symbols are shown but titles and definitions are hidden until you want to see them and List Mode, which allows you to flip through the symbols in an easy-to-browse list for use as a music notation resource.

Music Theory Flash Cards, With Audio

Brainscape is a hub for developing flash cards and has created an audio flash card app that improves listening skills along with other theory concepts. Their trademark: as one moves through the stack of cards, the app asks for feedback. On a scale from 1-5, students must rate how well they knew the answer.

  • Have you tested all four of these flashcard apps using the new iOS7? (I’m looking for a new flashcard app as my former app is currently not compatible with iOS7.)

    • Hi, I have not tested them with iOS 7 as I have held off on downloading the latest system for fear of the reasons you speak of. Obviously, I will eventually and you pose a good question. Would love to hear back from you when you find a solution! Thanks for stopping by 88pianokeys.me.

  • Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time
    deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
